The organization already building the Ocean Economy’s digital future
CoastalCoop is the digital operating system of the Ocean Economy — connecting communities, cooperatives, fisheries, startups, blue carbon projects, and investment across Pakistan’s Makran Coast. Project EmpowHer extends that mission directly into the hands of the region’s young women.
This isn’t a one-off workshop. It’s a continuation of CoastalCoop’s platform — FisheriesOS, CoopOS, and BlueCarbonOS were all built on the belief that coastal communities should own the tools shaping their future. EmpowHer trains the people who will build the next generation of that platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Project EmpowHer is fully funded by CoastalCoop and partner organizations — there is no cost to accepted participants.
Who can apply?
Women aged 18-35 from designated coastal regions, ideally affiliated with a local cooperative or community group.
Is prior experience required?
No. The curriculum starts from digital foundations and builds up — no coding background is required, just curiosity and commitment.
Is it online?
The program blends in-person community sessions with online mentorship, so participants stay connected to both their local cohort and a global network of mentors.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Graduates who complete all four weeks and present a final project receive a CoastalCoop-certified completion credential.
